About the role

Oxford Risk is looking for a highly organised, curious and client-confident Senior Implementation Consultant to lead the practical delivery of our behavioural-finance solutions to clients.

This role focuses primarily on post-sales implementation and client delivery.

You will take client projects from agreed scope through implementation, launch and handover, combining disciplined project management with technical delivery coordination and proactive client communication. Working closely with Sales, Product, Technology and Applied Insights, you will keep people, dependencies and decisions aligned so that commitments are delivered.

Our solutions combine technology, behavioural science, quantitative methodology and financial-services workflows. You will develop the knowledge to become a trusted implementation partner to our enterprise clients, able to resolve routine implementation and product questions directly while recognising when specialist input is required.

Key responsibilities

  • Own delivery from agreed scope to launch. Manage plans, milestones, actions, risks, dependencies and responsibilities across multiple client projects. Maintain clear implementation records, coordinate internal and client contributors, and surface resource conflicts early. Track scope changes and their impact on effort and timing, securing agreement before commitments change.
  • Build confident client partnerships. Lead effective implementation meetings, communicate progress and next steps proactively, and manage expectations. Understand each client's business need, adviser workflow and technology environment, translating requirements into practical activities and bringing the right colleagues together to resolve questions and unblock delivery.
  • Coordinate technical implementation and readiness. Work directly with technology teams on micro-front-end applications, API services, integrations, data flows, environments and releases. Help define acceptance criteria and coordinate configuration checks, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, training, go-live readiness and handover, obtaining the appropriate specialist input and sign-offs.
  • Develop and apply product and methodology knowledge. Build working knowledge of Oxford Risk's behavioural-finance intellectual property (IP), suitability products and analytical insights. Use this to answer routine client questions and support effective implementation and adoption. Coordinate contributions from Applied Insights and escalate complex methodology, product or technical issues to the relevant specialists.
  • Improve proposals and future delivery. Contribute implementation effort, client responsibilities, assumptions and dependencies to proposals, working with Solutions, Product and Technology leads on realistic commitments. Capture client and user feedback, identify opportunities to improve usability and adviser workflow fit, and turn recurring questions into reusable guidance and delivery playbooks.

What we're looking for

We care more about the combination of capabilities than a particular career path or formal project-management qualification. You will ideally bring:

  • Delivery experience. A track record of managing multiple client-facing technology, SaaS, fintech or professional-services implementations, coordinating internal and client teams with excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communication. Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to lead meetings, explain complex ideas simply, challenge constructively and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Technical fluency. Enough understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, software environments, releases and testing to coordinate delivery credibly. You can identify dependencies and ask useful technical questions, including when working with micro-front-end applications and API services. Hands-on capability is also desirable: reading API documentation, inspecting data or API payloads, testing integrations, working with basic data queries or technical configuration, and using AI-assisted or low-code tools to investigate problems or prototype solutions. You do not need to be a software engineer, but should be willing and able to get your hands dirty.
  • Intellectual curiosity. The ability to absorb unfamiliar subject matter and build fluency in our products and methodology. Experience in wealth management, financial services, behavioural science or adjacent areas is useful, alongside a strong appetite and capacity to learn.
  • Ownership and judgement. A proactive, resourceful approach: spotting gaps, following through on commitments, connecting information across teams and knowing when to resolve an issue yourself or seek specialist support.

How we expect the role to develop

  • Oxford Risk is a small company, so the boundaries of the role will evolve. We expect you increasingly to become a solution expert who understands our clients, our IP, our products and enough of our technology to connect them together. You will grow your ability to support client implementation and handle the large majority of day-to-day product, methodology and implementation questions independently, drawing on specialist colleagues for genuinely complex or novel issues.
  • We are increasingly AI-enabled in how we work. We are looking for someone who is curious about new tools, learns quickly and uses AI intelligently to understand information, improve delivery, solve problems and increase their effectiveness.
  • Formal PRINCE2/PMP-style programme management experience can be useful. Rigour, ownership, curiosity, judgement and communication matter more.
